Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Hi Guys! re: "signature" restaurants and the dress codes (like Yachtsmans' Steak House) I have seen nothing about shoes? Can you wear (nice)flip flops? Sandals? Or do they require more "business casual" appropriate footwear?

I have never see a specific shoe requirement for the signature dining restaurants. Other than at Victoria and Alberts, where the dress code is quite strict, you will see a fairly broad interpretation of what "business casual" means to different people at the various signature dining restaurants. I think that as long as your shoes looked coordinated with the rest of your outfit, then you'd likely be fine.
I have never personally seen someone not seated at a signature restaurant because of a shoe issue.
I myself have worn thong-type sandals (like flip-flops only leather) to the signature restaurants many times with no problem. And my children always wear sandals to these meals. Now that I'm thinking about it ... I believe there was one trip where my hubby forgot to pack real shoes for a trip to WDW and ended up wearing sneakers to Artist Point (grrrrrr).
In general, when I we go to WDW, we bring 3-4 pairs of shoes for each person: comfy sneakers for park touring, flip flops or Crocs for poolside, a nice-ish pair of sandals for the signature restaurants, and maybe one other to better coordinate with a particular outfit ;-)
Hope that helps.
