Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- After watching the fireworks at the Polynesian can we take the bus to Hollywood St. then change to a bus to Pop Century, even if Hollywood Studios would have been closed for over an hour? Or is there a better way to avoid the crowds leaving Magic Kingdom?

- Hi Cheri,
That's a good thought, but since Hollywood Studios will have been closed for more than an hour, I'm not sure that will work for you. It's unlikely that you will be able to get a bus from Polynesian at that point.
It looks like Wishes will be at 8 p.m. the week of your visit. If you want to avoid the crowds exiting the park after the fireworks, you have a few other options.
I would probably take the short walk from the Polynesian to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you can catch the monorail to Epcot. Then you can get a bus to your resort from the front of Epcot. (The crowd doesn't usually hit the Epcot bus stations until about 9:30, after IllumiNations).
Or you can catch the bus at the Polynesian to Downtown Disney and transfer to the Pop Century bus. I think that might take a little longer than going to Epcot.
The other option is to catch a taxi. I'm a big fan of the free Disney transportation but every once in a while, it's worth a little extra to get to the resort faster. I would expect the trip to cost $15 to $20, including gratuity. For comparison, in November, we took a cab from Animal Kingdom Lodge back to the Polynesian -- which is farther than the distance between the Polynesian and Pop Century -- and the fare was $22 before tip.
I hope that helps. The view of Wishes from the Polynesian is beautiful, so enjoy!
