- Hi, Elaine!
You've made an excellent choice for breakfast! Boma ~ Flavors of Africa is a fabulous dining location with a wonderful selection of African-inspired dishes and American breakfast classics on its incredible buffet.
You can park your car at the Downtown Disney area and take a bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, but that will take much more time (up to one hour) than just driving directly from your offsite location to Animal Kingdom Lodge. With your advanced dining reservations at Boma, you will be extended complimentary parking at the Resort hotel while you enjoy your meal. I definitely recommend driving to Animal Kingdom Lodge and parking your car there while you dine.
The Downtown Disney area opens at 8:30 AM. Complimentary Disney bus transportation to and from the Downtown Disney area typically begins one hour prior to Disney Theme Park opening time. At night buses operate until 2:00 AM from the Downtown Disney area.
Just a note on parking at the Downtown Disney area: Currently, there is a lot of construction going on in the area due to the new Disney Springs expansion project (set to open in 2016). Self-parking is complimentary, but is very limited because a large section of the parking lot is now inaccessible due to the construction of a new parking deck. Valet parking is temporarily being offered from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM at a cost of $15.
I hope this helps! Please visit us again here at the Moms Panel with any other questions before your trip.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
