Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Hi, first timer to Disney & we're staying at Animal Kingdom. We get the free shuttle with our package. About how long will it take to get there from the airport? Is it one bus that stops at each resort? I have 2 under 5 & don't want to be on a bus

- Hi Marsha! How exciting to be planning your family's first visit to Walt Disney World! You've picked a fantastic resort -- I love sitting on my balcony at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and watching zebras and giraffes on the savanna!
Disney's complimentary Magical Express transportation from the airport makes getting to your resort easy. When you arrive at Orlando International Airport, just follow the signs for the Magical Express, and the castmembers will direct you to the motorcoach for the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The drive from the airport to Walt Disney World takes roughly 45 minutes. Each Magical Express motorcoach usually stops at approximately 3 resorts. If your resort happens to be the first stop, you could be at the Animal Kingdom Lodge within an hour of stepping off the plane. If you have to wait a few minutes for other passengers to board the motorcoach and your resort is the last stop, it could take as long as 2 hours from the time your plane lands to reach your resort. The motorcoach plays fun videos that help to entertain the kids, and I love that Disney delivers my luggage directly to my resort room so that I don't have to spend time waiting at Baggage Claim and lugging my heavy suitcases through the airport, which is especially nice when you have little ones in tow too. Just be sure you pack any items you might need right away in your carry-on bag since it may be several hours before your suitcases are delivered.
