  • Hi, Karen!  A Fast Pass is basically a ticket that helps you to avoid lines by giving you a specific time to come back.  For example, if you want to ride Toy Story Midway Mania, and you see that the line is a 60 minute wait, you insert your park pass into the Fast Pass machine, and it will give you a Fast Pass to return later, during a one hour time window.  You bypass the line and get into the Fast Pass line, where the wait is usually MUCH shorter - and sometimes, you'll find no wait at all.

If you are thinking of getting a birthday Fast Pass as your celebration, the Fast Pass you get will allow you to immediately get into the Fast Pass line, without having to come back later.  With the birthday Fast Pass, you can Fast Pass four attractions for up to five people, plus the birthday person!

There is no charge for the Fast Pass system at Walt Disney World.  Your park pass is what allows you to use the machines.  If you are traveling with someone for whom a ticket is not needed (a child under the age of three), they will also not need a Fast Pass to go with you into the Fast Pass line.

I hope your twins have a magical birthday!
