Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • My husband and I, along with our three grandchildren, ages 4, 7 and 9 will be traveling to Disney world and I can not make up my mind on what resort to stay at. I am thinking about the Polynesian or Beach Club Resort. Please advise.

  • Wow, what great grandparents you are!!

I love the Beach Club Resort, and Stormalong Bay is really a great reason all by itself to choose the Beach Club.  But having traveled with my own girls - two of them in the same age range as your grandchildren (one is three, the other seven) - I really value the monorail at the Polynesian Resort.  My three year old is especially stubborn about saving her energy and riding in her stroller, so I love not having to wait for a bus at the end of a long day.  I also find it much easier to use the monorail with the stroller in tow.

You will still need to use other Disney transportation to get to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom, but I love the convenience of the monorail for the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT - especially since we spend most of our time at those two parks.
