  • Hi Kelly!

With a variety of different themes, Disney's Moderate Resorts offer something for everybody! My favorite two are Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter. The themeing of these resorts are spectacular, with Port Orleans Riverside offering a little taste of the Bayou and Port Orleans offer themeing that will make you feel as if it's Mardi Gras all year around.

The French Quarter is very quaint, which makes getting around quite easy. The main pool "Doubloon Lagoon" is a fun area to relax that includes a sea serpent slide.Make sure to visits this resort's food court, "Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory" here you will find Beignets and Po' Boys that are absolutely scrumptious. Although the resort only offers one pool, guests are also welcome to visit Port Orleans French Quarter's sister resort, Port Orleans Riverside. The one drawback is that this resort is usually excluded from most Special Offers or at much lower discount than resorts within the same category.

Port Orleans Riverside is also a fantastic resort in Disney Moderate category, this resort is the picture of tranquility.I can almost imagine myself sipping a mint julep on a lazy summer afternoon, but don't let that fool you there is lots of activities to be found here! This is also, the only resort of the Moderates that offer rooms that will accommodate up to five guests with a fold-down Murphy bed that easily folds up to a bench seat when not in use.Port Orleans Riverside is also home to Disney's Royal Guest Rooms that are extraordinarily themed with your very own personal fireworks show on the headboard. This resort is a little more spread out, much like Caribbean Beach Resort, so it may take a little time to reach your destination.

Both of these resorts are wonderful and I love both of them so much I can't just decide on one!I hope this helps Kelly and please visit me again if you need anymore advice planning your upcoming visit.

    Happy Planning!
    Mandy
