Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • HI Everyone! I have heard that at PO Riverside the buildings do not have elevators? Is this true?
  • - Asked by Tara from Louisiana on 12/1/2013
  • Tara, you made an excellent resort choice. The languid Sassagoula River, the live oaks growing on beautifully landscaped lawns, and the white columned buildings at Disney's Port Orleans Resort- Riverside create a charming atmosphere. You will feel you are on the grounds of a hospitable southern mansion rather than minutes away from the world's most popular theme park.

The Magnolia Bend buildings at Riverside do have elevators. The smaller, rustic themed Alligator Bayou Lodges do not. Only two stories tall and containing merely 64 rooms, these structures are quite manageable without elevators. If stairs are an issue for a member of your party, request a room on the first floor of a lodge or a spot in the Magnolia Bend area.

    Enjoy your visit to Mickey!
