Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Between the Grand Floridian, Contemporary Resort, and Polynesian, which resort has the best view of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom?
  • - Asked by stacy from Virginia on 12/29/2012
  • Hi Stacy,

Of these three hotels, I prefer the view at the Contemporary. While you can most of the actual fireworks from all three locations, it's only at the Contemporary that you can get a view of some of the park itself. The Contemporary has several elevated viewing areas that allow you to look into the Magic Kingdom and see some of what is happening on the Castle.

Perhaps the best view is from the California Grill restaurant on the 15th floor of the Contemporary. If you time it right, you can be eating a gourmet dinner while watching Wishes. They even dim the lights and pipe the Wishes music into the dining room.

If you're not up for that, there is a large observation deck off the 4th floor of the hotel. Go past the gift shops, like you're heading to Bay Lake Tower. Before you get to the Tower there is an open area with benches facing the Magic Kingdom. You're welcome to watch the fireworks from there as often as you like, with no reservations or charges.

    Enjoy!
