Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hello, I am a single parent of two. I am trying the plan an unforgettable vacation at Animal Kingdom, and I can't decide what's the best room for us; with great views. Any suggestions?

  • Hi there, Donyelle!

For the best views at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you'll definitely want to book a savanna view room on a lower floor.

There are a couple of different types of savannas (and, therefore, views) available; check out the Fact Sheet at third-party fan site All Ears for more information. The Fact Sheet (and reader reviews) can be found here:  http://allears.net/acc/faq_akl.htm

Really, it all depends upon on your personal vacation budget. Because of their views, the savanna rooms are going to be in the upper range of the room prices; you might also consider how much time you will actually be in the room, and judge accordingly (it's hard to see those animals at night, for example).

There are dedicated viewing areas for all Guests to use, and a couple of very nice safari options that can be purchased "a la carte". The Sunrise and Sunset Safaris are really nice ways to enjoy great visibility of the residents of the savannas.

But any savanna view on a lower floor is going to have huge "wow factor" for you and yours.

    Have a wonderful time!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
