Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I saw in an ad Disney promoting their online check in service. That you can check in up to 10 days prior to arrival. What's the purpose in doing that? What happens when you check in online days before arrival?

  • Hi Peggy,

I am a big fan of  Disney's Online Check-in Service - its so easy and makes the check in process super fast once you arrive.

Beginning 10 days prior to your arrival, you can go online and confirm your information. On the Disney World Resort homepage, you'll see "My Disney Vacation" next to the small orange suitcase icon near the top left side. Click "Online Check In". It only takes a few minutes to complete the information.

When you arrive at your resort, there will be a separate line for Guests who did their check-in online (look for the signs). The person whose name is on the reservation will have to present his or her photo ID. They will give your welcome package with your Key to the World Cards and resort information and you're good to go. It’s that simple.

In the days before online check-in, there were times we waited in line for awhile at some of the resorts (not often but once we waited over an hour). This can be especially true if you arrive with lots of other Guests on Magical Express or a tour group.

I think you'll find Disney's Online Check-In Service very convenient and much appreciated if you've had a long day of traveling because it gets you to your room faster and lets your relaxing begin.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
