Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We are arriving 1st thing in the morning on 12/23 at the Cabins in Fort Wilderness, though check-in is at 3:00pm, we want to park there & take the ferry over so when our day in the MK is finished we can go right to our cabin, do we need a parking pass

  • Hi Denise,

My family and I love the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort!  We love the spacious interior of the cabin, which includes a kitchen and separate living and sleeping areas.  We also typically spend at least one or two nights grilling on the charcoal grill at our cabin and eating on the porch.  This is a really relaxing way for us to visit Walt Disney World.

Even if you are arriving early in the morning, you can still check in at Disney's Fort Wilderness when you arrive.  Although your cabin will likely not yet be ready, you will receive your check in packet, including your parking permit.  Then you can park your car at Disney's Fort Wilderness with the parking permit displayed.  If you leave the front desk a cell phone number, they should be able to text you your cabin number when it is ready.  Please do be aware that the ferry from Disney's Fort Wilderness departs from the Settlement area of the resort, which is a bus ride away from check-in, which is at the Outpost area.  You will need to take a bus back to the Settlement to catch the ferry to the Magic Kingdom.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Denise!  Have a wonderful time getting ready for your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
