Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Is it OK to watch wishes from the beach of the Polynesian if we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge? If so, what is the best way to get there from WL? Can we park our car in the Poly's parking lot since we are not staying there?

- Hi Jennifer!
The Wilderness Lodge is so gorgeous, you may find it difficult to tear yourself away!
Yes, you most definitely CAN enjoy Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the beach of the Polynesian Resort! It is a beautiful vantage point, and a perfectly magical way to enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks display.
Our family did just that last month - we drove over and parked our car in their parking lot (yes, you are allowed to do so, for free), and enjoyed a wonderful meal at Captain Cooks, on the outdoor patio. They have yummy pizza, burgers, salads, and don't forget the DOLE WHIP!!! This is the only other place outside of the Magic Kingdom where you can find this wildly popular Disney delicacy - YUMMY! We then walked down to the beautiful beach and enjoyed the dazzling display of Wishes.
There are several ways to travel on the Walt Disney World Transportation System from the Wilderness Lodge to the Polynesian.
One way is the Boat Launch: you can take the Blue Line Boat Launch from the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom, and then catch the Gold Line Boat Launch to the Polynesian.
You can also take the Blue Line Boat Launch to the Contemporary Resort, disembark and catch the Resort Monorail there, which will also take you directly to the Polynesian Resort after a quick stop at the Ticket and Transportation Center (no need to disembark there).
There are other ways, including the bus system, but remember, you will have to travel from Resort to Theme Park to Resort. The bus does not travel directly from one resort to another resort, only from resort to Park to resort.
Don't forget to take advantage of your great views of the Electrical Water Pageant while you are out and about!
