- Hi Sharman,
We have been lucky enough to have stayed at all those resorts more than once and with grandparents, too. To help you decide, first I'd take a look at all the photos to see which theming you like best. www.allearsnet.com has comprehensive photos and facts that can give you more information than what is at the WDW site. Then, let me highlight some other information to help you decide but please know that I think all the resorts are wonderful.
Wilderness Lodge: rooms are 340 sq. feet housed in one building, jaw-dropping lobby, no views of Magic Kingdom, bunk beds available, boat transportation to MK can have longer waits, playground, beautiful theming/gardens, no character dining
Polynesian: rooms are 415-476 sq. feet housed in 11 buildings (rain can be challenging), Magic Kingdom views available, zero-entry pool and splash/play area, EASY access to monorail to both MK and Epcot, lush gardens, character dining, some rooms do not have balconies, lobby has an older feel & isn't as open (but still lovely)
Grand Floridian: rooms are 440 square feet houses in 6 buildings (rain can be challenging), Magic Kingdom views available, zero-entry pool, flagship resort = extra amenities, beautiful lobby, some guests feel resort is too formal, beautiful gardens, easy monorail access to MK, character dining (fyi, it is the least favorite of my sons because they feel it is too "girlish")
I hope this helps with your decision making, but again, I love each of the resorts! Please let us know if we can help again.
