Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi - driving from Sarasota, FL on 9/13 to spend day at MK, 1night at Yacht Club and next day Epcot. Do we get free parking at MK with a pass from hotel? Or should we leave car at YC and take bus? MK opens at 9am -what time should we get to YC - 8-8:30am?

  • Hi Elizabeth! What a fun whirlwind trip you're planning! Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels receive free parking. When you arrive at the Yacht Club to check in, you'll be provided with a parking pass to display on your dashboard during your stay. You can leave your car at the Yacht Club and hop on a bus to the Magic Kingdom, or you can choose to drive yourself there. Personally, I think it's easier and quicker to take the bus than to drive, since the bus drops you off closer to the park entrance. I recommend that you arrive at the Yacht Club fairly early (around 7:45 a.m.) to park your car and check in. Then you can take the bus to the Magic Kingdom; the ride takes about 20 minutes but you may have to wait 15 minutes for the bus to arrive. You'll arrive at the park in plenty of time for the 9 a.m. opening. The next day, you can leave your car at the Yacht Club and walk to Epcot. Walking would be much more convenient than driving.
