Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I like that you travel with your mom. I'd like my mom to come with me to WDW, but she says it's just for kids. How do I convince her?

  • Hi there Pippa! Well you can just tell Princess Laura says that is not so! I actually became a fan of Walt Disney World decades before my daughter was even born. Some of the largest market segments who visit Walt Disney World are honeymooners, seniors, young adults, and conference attendees. And why, because of the world class dining, art galleries, nightclubs and bars, golfing, horseback riding, boat rentals, fishing excursions, and spas.

My two favorite things to do in Walt Disney World, wait, three favorite things(I forgot shopping!) are fine dining (Victoria and Albert's is one of the best restaurants in the world" and viewing the art (see my answer here).

So, everything I mentioned above is pretty adult. I have visited Walt Disney World a few times and never even gone into the theme parks!

Folks who haven't visited Walt Disney World don't realized the HUGE scope of the place. The property is almost 47 square miles and is a bonafide city with everything from its own bus system to fire station. I think that people have this concept because of the TV commercials that all there is to Walt Disney World is Cinderella Castle.

One visit to the website and your Mom will be ready to jump on a plane! Have a magical trip!
