Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My children are on a swim team. When we go to Disney World, is there a pool available that they are able to swim laps in or condition in?

- Kim, my kids are also on a swim team, but your children seem much more motivated. All we do in a pool at Walt Disney World is float around and zoom down the water slide.
WDW resorts all have recreational pools heated throughout the winter for guests to enjoy, but there is not an Olympic size standard pool dedicated to lap swimming. If you are staying at a Disney hotel, you will also have access to additional quiet pools at your resort. Smaller than the feature pools and with no lifeguard on duty, these spots tend to have few people splashing about, so your children will be able to crawl, butterfly, and backstroke their way across. The shorter pool length will ensure they get plenty of turn practice. Also consider hitting the larger main pool during off times when there will be fewer people obstacles for your athletes to avoid.
