Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
I will be traveling to Disney World in 10 days with my family. My 3 year old is afraid to go down water slides. I was curious if there are any water slides at either of the water parks or Pop Century that I may go down with her to ease her fear?

- Hi Andrea!
You will find that Walt Disney World water parks and pool areas offer something for kids and adults of all ages!
At Blizzard Beach, there is a awesome kiddie area specifically for younger children. Tike's Peak offers mini versions of the water park's rides, including a side-by-side slide that parents can go down too to easy little one's fears. There is also a body flume, inner tube ride and splash area.
The slides at Pop Century are open for parents and children as well. None of the resort slides have age or height requirements, but all guests must be able to go down completely on their own and no lap riding is permitted for safety reasons.
When my daughter was little, my husband would go to the top of the slide with her and make sure she got on the slide OK while I waited at the bottom to catch her. If you feel that she is too fearful to go down completely alone, you may just want to stick to the kiddie water park area at Blizzard Beach for her safety.
