- Hello Kimberly!
Not too many more days left until your Walt Disney World vacation, how exciting is that? Disney's completely remodeled Senses Spa at the Grand Floridian offers just the treatments such as facials, massages, bath treatments and lots of other ways to completely to pamper your mother while on vacation. I was able to recently tour the newly remolded facility and it is a perfect way for you mom to spend her time relaxing while you are exploring all the magic Disney World has to offer outside of the spa. Since this Senses Spa is located at the Grand Floridian, just take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then transfer to the monorail resort loop to the Grand Floridian. Senses Spa is located just outside of the main building close to Disney's Wedding Pavilion. If you worried about your mother making her appointment in time, consider taking a taxi. The front desk will gladly be able to help reserve a taxi and the typical fare will be around $20, this will be a great way for your mother to arrive without having to worry about switching to the monorail.
Other resorts in the deluxe category offer health clubs where you can receive massages, but are not a full spa treatment facility. Animal Kingdom Lodge, Yacht and Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn, Wilderness Lodge, and Coronado Springs all offer these services, but they are not quite as plush as the Senses Spa at the Grand Floridian. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling (407) WDW-SPAS or (407) 939-7727. I'm sure that your mother is really going to enjoy her surprise pampering, please let us know if we can answer anymore of your questions!
