Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Hello from Indiana! Our family is going to DW in June. Can you tell me where are the best spots to see the fireworks at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom? Also, does Tinkerbell really fly? Where should we stand to see her?

- Howdy neighbor!
When in the Magic Kingdom, we like to watch Wishes from anywhere in front of Cinderella's Castle. I have seen them from other areas of the park and while still interesting, the show is really designed around the castle, so you'll be able to appreciate it most if you have a clear, unobstructed castle view. We generally walk partway down Main Street and find a place to stop and turn around to watch. There are a few tables in the area if you need a seat, but plan on arriving very early to scout one out as that's a popular idea and they do fill up way before the show starts.
Tinkerbell will absolutey fly! Watch for her a few minutes into the show, flying from the castle toward Tomorrowland. Her wings are green and illuminated so you can spot her. This is weather permitting of course - she's small so she could get blown away in high winds, and we can't have the pixie dust getting wet or it won't work properly.
The Epcot show requires a little more planning, as the trees around the water can make it trickier to find a good viewing spot. We are particularly fond of viewing from the UK, Morocco, and Mexico. If you want to eat dinner in the park, a well-timed dinner reservation at Rose & Crown could get you a table with a nice view for Illuminations (no guarantee). We've also watched from the disabled viewing area between World Showcase and Future World and that was very nice. There are non-handicapped areas on either side of that which woud also make good viewing spots.
It's really not necessary to go to any of those exact locations though - as long as your view is not obstructed by trees you will see a great show no matter where you are standing. Enjoy your trip!
