- Hi, James!
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question! What an exciting time of the year for your very first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
You're right in your expectation of the Parks being very busy. In fact, the week you will be there tends to be one of the busiest weeks out of the entire year because it's so absolutely gorgeous and magical! You'll want to familiarize yourself with Disney's FASTPASS Service and take advantage of using it as much as possible. Also, don't go into your vacation feeling like you have to accomplish everything because there are so many magical things to experience and it's better if you take your time.
Your plan to spend 2 days at Magic Kingdom Park is a great one! I feel that 1 day is definitely enough time to spend at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Sometimes my family will do half a day at Animal Kingdom and the other half at Disney's Hollywood Studios! It really depends on what you are all enjoying more at the time. You will definitely want to plan on being at Disney's Hollywood Studios at night because The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights is a breathtaking experience you won't want to miss!
Another activity my family really enjoys is to tour the Magic Kingdom Resorts that are along the monorail line. The Resorts really go all out on their Holiday decorations and they're absolutely beautiful! In fact, there is a REAL life-sized gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa that your family will just love!
I hope this helps, James! Please don't hesitate to write back in if we can assist with any other questions you have!
Wishing you a Pixie Dusted vacation!
