Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I'm a single parent who will be visiting WDW with my two children ages 14 and 5. My 5 year old dislikes thrill rides while my 14 year old and I love them! Can I hire someone in the parks to wait with her while we are on the rides she doesn't like?

  • There's no need to hire anybody(although this would be a good idea during tantrums!) You should be able to take advantage of the the "baby swap" program at Walt Disney World. For parents touring the parks with little tykes, this is a great way to ride the rides and not have to wait in line twice.

Just let the cast members know that you are doing the swap at the gate and while one of you rides with your 14 year old, the other waits. Then you get on! This way you can all stay together. My husband and I used this with our princess when she was older but wasn't tall enough to go on the thrill rides.

    Have a great trip!
