Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I read that the park with EMH tend to be the most crowded parks and it might be better to avoid parks with those hrs. Is this true during the early part of January during marathon weekend?

- Hi Tammy. I am among those that generally agree about carefully choosing when to visit those parks offering the extra hours. Based upon my experience, these parks do tend to get more crowded than normal given the number of Disney resort guests who take advantage of this option. Therefore, if I am unable to take use this bonus time, I typically avoid that park.
Here is how my family handles Extra Morning Hours. If I know we will arrive at the park before the early start time (typically 8:00 AM), I will go ahead and visit that park. The one hour of limited park visitors allows us to usually get into two or three of the most popular attractions with little to no wait. For the night hours, you can also expect these parks to get crowded as folks start flocking to that park. Therefore, unless I am pressed to do something I can't fit in otherwise, I usually use this time instead for other activities or visiting a different park.
Now, given that you are visiting during what should be a relatively quiet week, I don't think you will find the crowds to be to dramatically bigger. So, if you find that the extra hours work better for your schedule, I think you should still consider. Enjoy your upcoming trip!
