Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We will be visiting Disney world January 18th - 22nd with our twins (boy and girl age 6). We arrive at the airport at 1:23PM. Can we do Epcot late afternoon and night and see/ride all we need to in that short time? If so, what do you recommend we do?

  • Because Epcot is over 300 acres and twice the size of Magic Kingdom it's almost better to think of it in two parts; The World Showcase and Future World!
You can do a whole lot of the park and rides if you make a plan. Don't forget to utilize the Fast Passes, they will enable you to "save" a place in line at a particular ride during a set time frame so you don't have to spend all your precious time waiting!
My 6 year old daughter recommends Spaceship Earth (the giant ball that is Epcot's icon), Journey into Imagination with Figment, Living with the Land, The Seas with Nemo & Friends and Turtle Talk with Crush. My son loved Ellen's Energy Adventure at that age! And everyone loves Soarin' and Test Track! Those last two we always use Fast Pass as they are very popular.
The World Showcase has pavilions that represent 11 different Countries. They have shops, restaurants and some, like Norway and Mexico have fun boat rides!
You won't be able to do everything in one evening at Epcot, but you can certainly do a whole bunch and know that you'll have more explore on your next trip!
