Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Is the "pick a pearl" in the Japan Pavillion an activity for boys too? Do they have a setting for guys? My DS's (6 & 5) would probably love picking a peal and seeing how big it is, but don't want them to feel out of place. What's the cost?

I'm so excited to have found another fan of "pick a pearl!" My sister-in-law introduced it to me two years ago when were at Disney for a family reunion--all the girls in the family took turns picking out an oyster and watching the women behind the counter open them and get as excited as we were! I took some friends just last week to enjoy the fun, not to mention the beating of the drum after each pearl was revealed!
One of the teenage boys in our group--yes, you read that right, teenage boy--wanted to do it and was happy just to have the pearl! None of us thought anything of it, so I think your sons would enjoy it, just like a treasure hunt!
The settings case was a little slim on settings for guys. However, I did notice a tie tack....the cost last week was $15.95 or so for the pearl, while the settings went from about $7.95 up to $80 and higher. (Keep in mind not everyone puts their pearl in a setting.)
Wishing you a magical vacation!
