Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
I booked the Illuminations Dessert Party for April 4th, 2014, I am a little confused, are there tables and chairs for this event and what location is the event. Thanks for any info on this.

- Hi Danny ~
I was very excited to hear about the new IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party at Epcot. While the concept is the same, this experience will be a little different than the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom. The desserts featured on the buffet will be from countries around the World Showcase. Sparkling wines from around the World Showcase will also be available. Non-alcoholic options will be offered as well.
It will take place at the Showcase Plaza which is on the Future World side of the World Showcase. I've attended some dessert parties at this location and it offers an excellent view of IllumiNations. If you are going from Future World to the World Showcase, just go straight and you should see it near the lagoon.
I have spoken with two different Cast Members at Disney Dining about the seating arrangements. One said that there will be limited seating and suggested getting there early. The other Cast Member said that there will not be seating. The first of the IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Parties is March 15th and we should get more details and clarification on it after that time. We welcome you to check back with us in a few days.
Keep in mind that this is a new experience and some things could change along the way after they see how it goes the first few times.
Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR to help!
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
