Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Hi. In November my husband and I are taking our 5 year old daughter to Walt Disney World for the first time. We would like to spend a day at Epcot. Could you suggest as many events/activities there as possible to keep my 5 year old occupied?

- Hi Janette,
We have been visiting Epcot with our daughter since she was a baby. There are truly an amazing amount of attractions and activities for little ones at Epcot. Our daughter has always said that Epcot is her favorite theme park.
In Future World, many of the activities that your little one will likely enjoy are at Future World West. Be sure to ride The Seas with Nemo & Friends, on which you ride a clamshell through the story of Nemo. When you exit, you will be able to see into amazing aquariums, and see animals such as dolphins and manatees. Also consider visiting Turtle Talk with Crush, where little ones can interact with Crush, and even possibly get to ask him questions. Moving on to the Land pavilion, or daughter has always enjoyed both the Living with the Land boat ride through greenhouses, as well as the Circle of Life movie in which characters from The Lion King consider conservation. Finally in Future World West, visit the Imagination pavilion, where you can ride Journey into Imagination with Figment for a ride through the senses and imagination, and then head to ImageWorks, an interactive play area.
When we go through World Showcase, my husband and I enjoy strolling around and getting some food or drink at each country's pavilion. In order to keep our daughter happy while we do this, we stop often at the Kidcot Fun Stops. These are located in each pavilion, and children can color a Duffy the Bear or Perry the Platypus, as well as collect stamps from each country on the stick attached to them.
My family and I have truly enjoyed Epcot with our daughter ever since she was a very little child. I hope that you find the same to be true for your family, Janette! Have a great time planning your trip, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
