Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- How long does Kilimanjaro Safari at Animal Kingdom last and how long is the usual wait time? I would love to go, but I don't know if I'll have time for it. I had this problem on my last WDW trip, trying to go to all the attractions in Animal Kingdom

- Hi Helen. The Kilimanjaro Safari ride lasts about 20 minutes. What can vary greatly, however, is the wait time. I strongly recommend obtaining FastPasses for this ride to avoid long waits. With FastPass, I have never waited more than 10 minutes or so from the time I enter the line. However, without these passes, I know that depending upon the time you visit during the day, the line can exceed an hour.
Therefore, a strategy is to have someone in your party pick up FastPasses early in the day. Once you get them, you can come back at any time during the day. If not, you may also find line waits to be shorter within the first few hours of opening or just prior to close.
No matter what, I do suggest you make this a priority for your next trip. Disney does a great job in showing off these beautiful African animals and this ride is a must see for visitors.
