Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • So we nixed CP for TH in AK So the question is the res is for 11:15 . With the park opening at 9 is that enough time to do the Safari and Jungle trek before lunch? Those are really the only 2 stops we have planned at this park. Thanks! 44daya to go!

  • Hi Nicole,

Yes, two hours should be enough time to enjoy both the Kilimanjaro Safari and the Maharajah Jungle Trek before your lunch.

I would plan to arrive 15 or 20 minutes before the park opens and head first to the safari. It is harder to control how long it takes to complete the safari, which last 18 to 20 minutes plus wait time. You want to be able to enjoy looking at the animals, not looking at the time and stressing that you might miss your reservation because you are still on the savannah. In my experience, The wait time is often short and the animals more active first thing in the morning.

Once you have finished the safari, you can take the 5- to 10-minute minute walk to the Asia part of the park to enjoy the self-paced Jungle Trek. How long it takes depends on how much time you want to spend in any area. We always linger for a good while if the tigers are active.

If you don't have time to adequate see all of the trek, you can easily finish it after lunch at Tusker House.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you plan you visit. Enjoy!

    Wilma
