Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • My daughter will be 4 on our trip to WDW and she will be too afraid or short to go on the Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror rides. If my husband and I want to do the "kid swap" and ride alone, will she still have to go through the scary queue

  • Hello, Julianne,

When you arrive at the entrance of the attraction (before you actually enter the queue), there should be a cast member there who can assist you with the "kid swap" so your daughter won't have to enter the attraction.  If she does find herself wanting to try and enter the attraction and then changes her mind, there are exits within the queue itself; just alert a cast member that you'd like to leave.  I know this first hand with one of my children who took many tries before actually going onto the ride portion the Haunted Mansion!

Thank you for the question; please let us know if we can help again.
