  • Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party - Is it worth it? Thinking of doing this for my daughter's 10th birthday. Doing chef mickey in the monring so would it be too much? Do I need to book her as an adult?

  • Hi Louise!

The Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party is awesome! My family & I loved it. You can kick back with one of the best views of the fireworks inside the Magic Kingdom (MK) & enjoy some incredible desserts.

The party begins an hour prior to the fireworks on the Tomorrowland Terrace. You get a comfortable seat to watch the fireworks. You aren't among the sea of people in the MK so you don't have to fight for a good spot 2+ hours before the fireworks. None of the tables were right up next to the wall but once the fireworks began we were free to stand near the outer wall if we wanted. I also loved (especially with kids) that there is a restroom nearby.

The desserts are de-lish! You get to try as many as you want so eat an early dinner & come hungry. There was also a nice assortment of beverages (juices, coffee, milk). They break down the buffet when the fireworks begin so be sure to get all you want before settling in for an incredible view of Wishes. Tinker Bell flies right towards you & goes over your head for her landing.

There will be a PhotoPass Photographer on hand that will take some great pics of your family with Cinderella Castle in the background. Our party ranged in ages 4 - 71 & we all loved it.

If your daughter will be 10 when you go to the dessert party, you will need to book her as an adult. Like all dining experiences at Disney, they break down the price categories for ages 10 & up, ages 3 - 9 and kids under 3 are free.

Because your daughter is older, I think you'd be fine doing both Chef Mickey's & the Fireworks Dessert Party on the same day. Both are very relaxing. You can start your day at Chef Mickey's, spend the day at the Magic Kingdom and top it off with the dessert party. It will be an excellent birthday celebration indeed!

Wishing your daughter minnie magical memories :-) Allison
