Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Bret, We are planning to go to the Pirate and Princess Party during our upcoming trip. What are the "must-sees" of this event? Thanks!

  • Ahoy Jill!

Unfortunately for you (and me!), I have not yet attended the Pirate and Princess Party (P&PP).  since you submitted this question to me, I will do my best to answer your question based on a little research (including some feedback from the other "Moms").

The P&PP requires a separate ticket.  It begins at 7pm and last until midnight.  Official dates are currently out for January to March 2008.  Guests (kids and adults) are encouraged to dress up in P&P attire, but it isn't required.

Since I haven't been, I can't give you an opinion on each activity, but here are what appear to be the highlights...
    - Enchanted Adventurers Parade
    - Magic, Music & Mayhem fireworks
    - Character meet and greets (which might include Captain Jack himself!)
    - Hunting for treasure in several areas of the park

In addition, many times (but not guaranteed) you will find that the lines for many of the attractions are not so long.  Only a limited number of guests can attend, and those that are there are often focused on the themed events instead of the attractions.  FASTPASSes, however, are not used during the P&PP.

All of the feedback I have heard from the parties has been very positive.  I'm get to dress up as a pirate and run around saying "Aaarr" in the Magic Kingdom?"  What's not to like?!  ºoº
