Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
I wanted to know if you could help me, I am bringing my 2 daughters 9, and 12 to Disney World for the first time, and we will be there for 4 nights five days. I want them to have the time of their lives, and I am having trouble choosing activities.

- Hello there Resia,
My kids are eight and twelve so I know a little bit about having a great time with kids that age at Walt Disney World. The first thing you need to do is, relax. Trust me, the kids are going to have a Magical time from the moment they arrive. Choosing activities really depends on which parks you are going to go to. If you are going to all of the parks, its really important to not try to do it all on this trip. Take for example Magic Kingdom, there are so many rides there that if you rode each one, you wouldn't see the parades or fireworks. So have a good idea of what You and the Girls want to do prior to arriving by making a list of top activities narrowed down to maybe six in each park. We always have a list of rides we want to go on, then as we are walking through the parks we will see which lines are shortest and ride those rides on the way to our next "planned" ride.
Here is an idea of our activities for Magic Kingdom: Visit with Mickey, Ride all of the Mountains, See Wishes fireworks, Ride It's a Small World, Party with Move It, Shake It! Ride Pirates of The Caribbean, and Ride Haunted Mansion. Along the way, we will take pictures with characters during meet and greets, ride whichever rides have low wait times and eat when we get hungry (if we haven't made reservations ahead of time.)
I suggest sitting with the girls and your computer, download the My Disney Experience App and decide together for each day. Make sure to use FastPass to make going through the parks easier. Thank you so very much for your question, Resia! If you have more questions prior to your trip, we are always here to help.
