Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My 16 year old broke his ankle and will have cast and crutches for our trip in November. We plan on renting a wheelchair but I have been told that there are rides he will be restricted from riding. Is this true or is it at the discretion of each guest?

- Hi Jennifer,
I am sorry your son broke his ankle and you are smart to rent a wheelchair to get around the parks.
At the entrance to each attraction, there is a list of restrictions. Some such as the ability to transfer to the ride is a common restriction and it seems like your son would be able to transfer. Others like height might not impact your son.
I would ask your son's doctor his recommendation on what restrictions apply on this trip. Rock n Roller Coaster with Aerosmith, Tower of Terror and Kali River Rapids all could present a challenge for him.
In addition, I would reach out to the team at Guests with Disabilities as their job is to answer these types of questions.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
