Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Planning for early June with 9,8, 6 and 2 year old - 4 day ticket. Thinking of 2 days Magic Kingdom, 1 day animal Kingdom and then maybe Studios. What are the "biggies" that we should to take in? What do we need to be planning?

  • So nice to hear from you again Angela!

You'll want to plan dining reservations if you're going with the Dining Plan. Character Dining & many table service locations are popular and reserve up to 180 days in advance.

Given your kids' ages and number of days in the parks, you've got a good plan to visit those 3 parks. At Magic Kingdom, the whole park is full of the "biggies" you don't want to miss! ;) Definitely make sure to catch the afternoon parade as well as the Main Street Electrical Parade and of course, Wishes Fireworks.

Animal Kingdom is fantastic! Be sure to head straight to Africa & over to Kilimanjaro Safaris first thing in the morning as it's the best time to view all the animals out on the savannah before the sun gets too hot and they all seek shade. After that, some great family time can be spent taking the Wildlife Express train to the Affection Section at Conservation Station. You'll all have a blast together over in Dinoland, USA. My favourite, family show in Animal Kingdom is Finding Nemo - The Musical. Check the park's Daily Times slip for show times. Since this park closes earlier than others, a great way to end your day at Animal Kingdom is to head to Downtown Disney for dinner & shopping.

At Hollywood Studios, you'll find plenty of character "Meet & Greet" opportunities and some great shows. Some 'must do' attractions would include Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, now featuring Lightening McQueen, Toy Story Mania (get FASTPASSes first thing!) and of course Fantasmic! If your 6 year old son is a Star Wars fan, be sure to arrive at the park right at opening time and head straight to Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey to sign up for one of the Jedi Training Academy sessions to be held later in the day. It's an amazing, memorable experience and fills up quickly for the day.

And alas, I'm out of room again! Too much to say & too little space to say it all!

    Kirsten
