  • What can a 5 month old baby ride?
  • - Asked by Steven from North Carolina on 1/10/2011
  • Hello Steven,

You are going to be pleasantly surprised just how many Disney attractions your five month old baby will be allowed to ride!

At Magic Kingdom, many of the attractions are very baby friendly.  For example, all of the Fantasyland rides are perfect for your five month old. These rides are built with seating that allows families with babies and small children to sit together.  The only ride I would not recommend is the Mad Tea Hatter because this attraction spins rather fast for a baby...I get woozy just thinking about it!

To give you a better idea of the attractions you will enjoy with your five month old, click next to the Disney Park listed below:

    Magic Kingdom:  Click HERE!
    Hollywood Studios:  Click HERE!
    EPCOT:  Click HERE!
    Animal Kingdom:  Click HERE!

NOTE:  The general rule is if the description of the attraction says Pre-schooler, then you are safe to ride the attraction with your 5 month old baby.

I also wanted you to know that if you would like to ride an attraction that is not suitable for a baby, Disney World offers a special service to families with small children called Rider Swap.  For information about Rider Swap, click HERE.

I hope this helps you in your planning.  If you have other questions, please let us know!  Have a magical day!
