Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I need some help with transportation from park to park. We are staying in downtown Disney and will have a shuttle to the park, but we are using the park hopper pass and may switch parks during the day. What is the best way to move from park to park?

- Hi Jennifer!
Just one of the many great things about a Walt Disney World vacation is Disney's complimentary transportation, especially the Monorail which I think is an attraction all by itself! No need to worry about GPS, parking or finding your car at the end of a long day. Walt Disney World offers transportation by bus, Monorail, ferry boats and water taxis. Most transportation at Walt Disney World does not connect park to park, so you may have to make an extra stop in order to reach your destination.
One of the easiest ways to transfer from park to park, is by taking a resort bus that is close to the park you are trying to reach. For example, if I wanted to leave Hollywood Studios to visit Magic Kingdom, I would most likely take the bus to Disney's Contemporary Resort and either walk or take the Monorail to reach my final destination. During busier times of the year such as Christmas, I will just look for the shortest resort bus line to reach my destination. If your looking for a little time to relax before reaching your next destination, make sure to try a water taxi or ferryboat. Keep in mind that you will also need to use this method to travel from resort to resort. If by chance you will be having a late dinner and are worried that buses may not be running, know that Downtown Disney buses typically run until 2:00 am so that is always a great place to switch buses as well.
I hope this was helpful, Jennifer! Please visit me again if you have anymore questions or need advice for your upcoming vacation.
