  • we will be staying at the beach club resort. Should I drive my car to the Magic Kingdom and Fort Wilderness? I have been told it is much faster than the busses . thank you.

  • Hi Rosemary! The Beach Club resort is one of my favorite places to stay while at Walt Disney World!

I strongly suggest you do not drive to the Magic Kingdom but instead take the Disney bus.  When you drive you will find that you park a long distance away from the park and then must take the ferry or monorail to reach the entrance. The bus drops you off just steps away from the entrance and is so easy and convenient. It takes a bit of time as the park is not close to the resort but the bus is certainly the easiest way to get there.

Getting from resort to resort can mean some creative transportation planning so if you do have a car it is often the fastest way to get there. Fort Wilderness is no different so a car can come in handy.  Once you arrive you will have to park at the front and then hop on the internal buses to reach the campfire singalong or Pioneer Hall area but they run often and are easy to navigate. Even if you took a bus from a park to this resort you would still need to change to the internal buses. Boats run only from the Magic Kingdom, Contemporary, and Wilderness resorts.

    Enjoy your upcoming Disney visit!
