Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hello! I'm heading to Disney World this January 2nd to the 6th. I am excited to see the Osborne Festival of Lights, but it overlaps with Fantasmic! Does anything special happen at the beginning of the light show, or can we go after Fantasmic? Thanks!

  • Hi Noelle!

Christmas time at Walt Disney World is truly one of the most magical experiences anyone can have!  My family and I love taking our trips during the holidays.

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights is amazing!  The great thing about them is that they repeat throughout the night with the same songs and dancing light series.  There is usually a small ceremony when they get turned on for the first time in the evening.  It is nice to see, but I definitely wouldn't miss Fantasmic for it!   I would go see Fantasmic and then make your way over to the lights.

My advice is to find a place to sit or stand and just watch for a while.  The music and lights really put me in the Christmas spirit and I have been known to shed a few happy tears while watching!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions, and enjoy your trip!
