Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • First time visiting Disney at Christmas and want to see the Epcot Candlelight Processional show on Dec 14th. I am wondering which time slot for the shows is the least crowded? And how long should I plan on waiting? (I can't do the dinner package.)

  • Hi Kathleen!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

If you want to sit down and enjoy the performance fully then you should get it line for the first show.  You should get in line at least an hour before the show and there is a pretty good chance you won't get into the first show, meaning you will just roll over to the second show.  I'm serious!  The Candlelight Processional is that popular.  However, you don't have to be in a seat in the outdoor theater to enjoy it.  Instead, you could just be in the area of the American Adventure and enjoy the music from the show; you just won't be able to see the performance.

If you want to greatly increase your chance of getting into the first show, then I highly recommend showing up 90 minutes before show time.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
