Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Hi Kaylene
Im wondering if you could explain the Pirates and Pals Fireworks parade? How long is the parade itself? We are going in July and it is a 8:45. Trying to squeeze in Chef Mickeys as well. Any info you have is great!

- Hi Cheryl,
The Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage is so much fun! Since it begins at 8:45 p.m. in July, you will need to plan on checking in no later than 8:00 p.m. They depart from the Contemporary Resort. There is a reception beforehand which has a Captain Hook and Mr. Smee meet and greet. You'll be treated to dessert and light snacks there. Then you'll board the pirate boat and head out onto Bay Lake. Weather permitting, you'll get to watch the Electrical Water Pageant as you make your way over to the Seven Seas Lagoon. Your captain, Patch, will tell stories and play trivia games with you. You'll even have the chance to win some prizes. They will choose a prime viewing spot in front of Cinderella Castle for Wishes. After the spectacular show, you'll head back to the Contemporary Resort where Peter Pan will be waiting for you. The Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage is one of my husbands favorite things to do at Disney. Watching Wishes from the lake is so relaxing and the pirate interaction is great. The cruise will end around 10:30 p.m. so you will want to plan it for a day that you have some down time and your kids aren't too worn out.
If you want to do Chef Mickey's for dinner beforehand, I would plan on a 6:00 dinner time. This will allow time to enjoy a relaxing dinner while you visit with characters.
I am attaching a video which will give you a really good idea of what the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage is all about.
Wishing you a wonderful vacation. Please let me know if I can assist you further,
