Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I have a 4 1/2 yr old and a 18 month old. Which water park, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, is more kid friendly for these ages?

  • Hi Carrie.  Based upon my experience, with children your age I would lean more towards Typhoon Lagoon.   While both parks have really fun areas for children, Ketchakiddee Creek at Typhoon Lagoon is particularly targeted towards younger ones.   This area has a maximum height restriction of 48 inches and offer many attractions great for your kids ages.    Blizzard Beach is also a viable option, but I find it generally more suitable for slightly older kids who really like slides.

What I also liked is that throughout this area you can follow your children around.  There are also plenty of Disney life guards around as well to make sure all goes well.   Hope this helps!
