Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Are the water parks open in December and it is warm enough to visit the water parks in December?

- At least one of Disney's water parks is open all year. Typically in December, one water park will be open while the other is closed for annual maintenance.
The "is it warm enough" question is tricky. I've been to WDW during December and/or January every year for the past five years. Sometimes I've encountered temperatures in the low 80s - perfect for the water parks. Other years the high temperature during my December trip has been in the low 60s - in my opinion, a little too chilly for the water parks.
If you're concerned about the weather, you might want to hold off on purchasing water park tickets or adding the Water Park Fun & More option to your basic ticket or Park Hopper. You can always add options to you ticket while you're there on vacation - when you have the most up-to-date forecast. That way, you'll only pay for the type of ticket you'll actually use.
Good luck with your planning and enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World.
