Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- In November we will be there with my FIL who is disabled because of a stroke. I have heard that the policy has changed and that he has to prove his disability to get a special card that require him to only use fast pass lines. Please explain the process

- Howdy Carrie and thanks so much for this very important question.
Disney has an unwavering commitment to provide an inclusive environment for all Guests. You are correct. The policy has changed. I would encourage you to read further details regarding how and why the Disability Access Service Card has replaced the Guest Assistance Card.
As you will see in the Disney Parks Blog, "The DAS (Disability Access Service) Card is designed to accommodate guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional queue environment due to a disability (including non-apparent disabilities). A Disability Access Service Card will be issued at Guest Relations main entrance locations and will offer guests a return time for attractions based on the current wait time. As soon as the Guest finishes one attraction, they can receive a return time for another. This service can be used in addition to Disney’s FASTPASS Service and Disney FastPass+ service."
You will find the answers to most of your questions by viewing the links above. If you find that you are needing further details, you can also contact Disability.email@example.com or (407) 560-2547 and the Cast Members will provide you with further details.
I hope this helps you in your planning. Thanks so much for your question and please let me know if you need any further information. Have a magical day!
