Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I am posting this for someone else who is taking her daughter and 2 friends to WDW in June 2013 as a graduation gift for graduating HS. She needs some advice on some fun things at each park for the girls to do besides the usual rides. PLEASE HELP!?!

  • Hi Melissa. How nice of you to submit this question for your friend!

One of my favorite unofficial resources for all-things-teen in Walt Disney World can be found at: www.disneyforteens.com. Not only are there recommendations for fun activities both in and out of the theme parks, there are even suggestions based on individual teen interest. For example, my son really loves being on the water so a wonderful treat for him was to rent a personal watercraft (sort of like a jet ski) and speed along Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon during one of our trips!

When I celebrated my 18 year old niece's high school graduation with some Disney time together, Magic Kingdom Park was her main request as she really wanted the chance to snag autographs from some of her beloved childhood Disney character friends. I sprinkled in some extra pixie dust on our vacation by ordering a custom cake for delivery to our resort room at the Polynesian resort and I upgraded us to Club Level so that we could enjoy an incredible view of the Wishes fireworks over Cinderella Castle at night.

Please feel free to send more questions my way prior to June 2013 as traveling with teens is a truly magical topic for me! I love reliving my memories while helping future guests plan for their own!
