Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I have a family of 35 people coming from WA state. This is our 1st time to DW. We fly in on Jan. 1st @ 5:30 pm. We have 12 adults, 9 teens, 14 under 10. My question is: Where is a good place to eat that we can see the fireworks? (kid friendly + FUN)

- Hi Mindy,
A party with 35-awesome! I would contact Grand Gatherings to help you with your Advance Dining Reservations. You should do this soon as you are under the 180 day mark. Disney dining is 407-WDW-DINE.
Now for fireworks. Magic Kingdom and EPCOT both have nightly fireworks. However, as far as standard dining reservations at a restaurant which is both kid friendly and fun and have a view of the fireworks, I can not think of one. California Grill at the top of the Contemporary has a great view but it is sophisticated. But watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from here is amazing.
Only the Rose and Crown in England in EPCOT has a viewing area to watch. Again, I am not sure this is the fun you are looking for.
However, you could try a special Grand Gathering event. Or you could eat your dinner al fresco or grab dessert and watch as well.
One final note, provided that your plane lands on time, you will probably not be to your hotel until around 7:00 pm. Depending on your location, it could take you another 30 minutes to get to a park to view the fireworks so keep this in mind when making dining reservations for your first night.
Have a great vacation!
