  • We are going to do Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom first thing at 9:30 and we have to get there right when it opens. I am having a family reunion (16). What can the rest of my family while the girls turn into princesses?

  • Hi Jocelyn! I remember our own family reunions of 16 many years ago. We now are doing the same but our numbers are nine!

The first thing to realize when traveling with a large group is that you don't all have to stay together each day every hour. It might work better if those who are going to be princesses arrive early and the rest come to the park a bit later. But I know how my own children were and getting to a park was the most important thing of the day so convincing some to come later might not happen!

If there are attractions that the girls will not enjoy let the rest explore them while they are in Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. The non princesses can also be in charge of getting Fast Passes for the day for the group.

There are a few things that they can do while you are busy at the "spa". The group can explore the shops on Main Street which are the least crowded in the morning. Have them find the penny machines and see how many different pressed pennies they can make in the park. Or if Tom Sawyer's Island is open have them take the raft out there and enjoy this often forgotten place. There are trails and swinging bridges and hidden caves and forts to explore and a good place to spend some time. They can also try out the Shootin Gallery in Frontierland....another spot that is forgotten to most guests and a good place to fill in some time.

And don't forget if there are any pirates in your group, young and old, they can have their own makeover at the Pirates League in the park near the attraction. This will require reservations as well but they do an awesome job and it would be fun to surprise the young princesses with some pirates in the family!  Maybe at least a couple of them could do this and have fun. I think I sometimes see more adults getting the pirate look then children so it is certainly possible!

    Have a great family reunion!
