  • Hi Nicholas!

This sounds like a great Disney vacation!  Congratulations on getting married!  Cirque de Soleil in Downtown Disney is a fabulous show if you have never seen it before.  I think it is worth every penny and it would be great to see during a honeymoon trip.  If you do decide to go, I think the seats in the middle, in terms of the stage to the back of the building, are the best because if you sit too close it is really hard to get a feel for everything that is happening on stage.

Another romantic activity would be to take a boat from Downtown Disney to Port Orleans Riverside and then to go on a private carriage ride at Port Orleans Riverside.  The boat trip between Downtown Disney and the resort is fun and relaxing, especially at night.

If you want a little more fun, you might think about taking the boat ride to Port Orleans Riverside and then going to YeHaa Bob's show in the River Roost.  YeHaa Bob basically leads a great boogie-woogie sing-along in a series of sets.  The atmosphere is fun and energetic. It is perfect for guests who enjoy a good time and who don’t take themselves too seriously. For example, guests are encouraged to beat their chest and yell “Charge!” at the end of a bugle call which Bob does routinely throughout the night!  You can easily spend the evening there and be entertained the entire time.  It is also a family friendly environment and you will see some children there.  Bob is a real person and he doesn't have a backup; his schedule changes from time to time so I do suggest checking it before heading over to Port Orleans Riverside.  You can find his schedule on his independent website yehaabob.com.  Be sure to bring your camera when you go!!  Bob will also sign autographs and he usually has a CD or two to sell at the show!

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
