Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi Moms. We have our honeymoon booked for the end of Aug however my wife is now pregnant. Whilst we know she can't do the big rides, what rides can she do and which parks are best for her? Also, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon? Lastly, any other advice?

  • Hi Andrew,

Congratulations on your wedding and your baby! What a great place to celebrate!

All of the rides have signs explaining the warnings. These are designed for guest's safety. I think you will find your wife can do more rides than not as Walt Disney designed the parks with families riding together. However, you wife needs to talk to her doctor about what is safe and what is not.

As for the water parks, I would head to Blizzard Beach as the rides are a little tamer than at Typhoon Lagoon especially the wave pool.

I would recommend using your FastPasses and drinking a lot of water. Walt Disney World will be hot and humid so keeping hydrated is important. Also, the crowds should be thinning as most of the schools in the US are back in session. Finally, make your Advanced Dining Reservations for late lunches or dinners so you guarantee a seat to eat in the air conditioning.

    Have a magical honeymoon!
    Beth
