Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • My daughter would like to have a wedding at Disneyworld 2014. Can we have a Catholic priest to officiate?
  • - Asked by Ann from Ohio on 2/7/2011
  • Please speak to your clergy for guidance.

Disney's Wedding Pavilion is non-denominational, however the Orlando Catholic Diocese has the official position that no ceremonies will be recognized outside of the Catholic Church.

Some Disney brides have a small, private ceremony in their home parish prior to their Disney weddings.

You might also consider a Walt Disney World reception and/or honeymoon after a ceremony in a Catholic Church.

We renewed our wedding vows for our tenth anniversary at Disney's Wedding Pavilion. It was memorable and magical!

Best wishes for a wonderful wedding and a lifetime of happiness!
